Veterinary Epidemiology

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University is the only veterinary faculty in the Netherlands and holds a leading position internationally in both education and research. Students specializing in this field will acquire extensive knowledge of epidemiology, statistics and economics within veterinary research. An important aspect of veterinary epidemiology is infectious disease control in production animals, with additional focus on monitoring and surveillance. The goals of the research project are to apply sound theoretical concepts to a relevant veterinary medicine challenge, often in a 'One Health' setting.
